To the Boy Who Once Kept My Secrets
I was reading through Candy Magazine’s online features and different to the boy’s last October 31, 2015, when I thought, if they can put their own feelings into writing, why in the world not do mine, too? So that night, with my heart in my hands, I wrote.
Then I hit send.
I waited for weeks for it to be noticed, but it never came, so my mind finally wandered off it all until now. So boy was I surprised when I was recently told Candy published my work. I can’t believe it. No matter how little this may look like, it is a huge thing to me. It would have been the greatest Christmas present if I had known sooner, but, well, I think it still is.
Enough with the blabbering--here it is now.
I originally entitled this entry To The Boy Who Once Held My Secrets and Now is One. I’m going to have to ask for your pardon because of all my errors (grammatical and typographical); and because this was written by a 15-year-old ingenue, who knew nothing about love.
